We found a sweet sewing machine table at a garage sale for 8 bucks. I have wanted a side table with 3 drawers for a long time. I love this one...
Well, we weren't able to find this but I think we did pretty well!
Here are the before pictures...pretty unsightly but lots of potential!
Mr. Handyman super excited to work on a project!
The "drawers" are faux..it is like a cabinet that opens up, you can see the hinges on the left hand side.
We took all of these parts out so it no longer functions as a sewing machine table.
We painted the inside then nailed in the top piece of wood and a bottom shelf.
We added decorative trim that's super cool and makes it look a little more like the inspiration.
We also cut the legs down to make it better for a side table height.
I got to work painting it a light grey/blue.
I also distressed it.
I painted the wood knobs and the hinges to match, and I wanted a metallic look without spending money on hardware, so black and silver paint and shellac worked wonders!
And here is our finished product!!!
So cute!
